Uniform
School uniform gives a child a sense of belonging and we encourage every child to wear it.
Your child should wear:
Northgate (Foundation Stage):
- Navy blue jumper/cardigan or school sweatshirt
- House colour polo shirt
- Navy/black/grey trousers or joggers (no jeans)
- Sensible, black school shoes or plain black trainers
Years 1 - 6:
- Navy blue jumper/cardigan or school sweatshirt
- House colour polo shirt
- Navy/black/grey trousers or shorts (no jeans)
- Navy/black/grey skirt or pinafore
- House colour summer dress
- Sensible, black school shoes or plain black trainers
PE
- Black or blue shorts
- House colour t-shirt
- Daps or trainers
- Joggers and sweatshirt for colder weather
Children are expected to wear PE kit on PE days rather than school uniform.
Please make sure that all items of uniform are clearly named.
Where do I buy uniform?
Most uniform can be bought from local supermarkets – Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys all have good supplies of uniform. Items marked with the school logo can be bought at the Monkhouse Schoolwear Specialists Shop in Northgate Street.
